AECP - CHLA 18th International Conference

 

Ophthalmology, neonatology, general pediatrics (including endocrinology and cardiology)

We are pleased to announce the AECP-CHLA 18th International Conference which will start on September 23 of 2020 via a series of online events - free for participants from all over the world.

The Conference is organized by The Armenian EyeCare Project (AECP) and Children’s Hospital Los Angeles (CHLA) in collaboration with the Ministry of Health of Armenia, World Diabetes Foundation, and a number of medical associations of Armenia.

Due to the pandemics, the conference will be held online, which will give an opportunity to enlarge the geography and number of conference participants. Upon completion of the conference, all its materials and lectures will be stored online and available for free access.

The first part of the Conference is on Ophthalmology and will be held on September 23 through December 23. The Conference will start with a vitreoretinal expert meeting on September 23, which is run in this format for the second time since last year. On this expert meeting internationally recognized professionals together with their Armenian colleagues will present the modern treatment approaches of retinal eye diseases and will reflect on the issues in this area in a live panel discussion.

Later on, each day of the Conference will be devoted to one ophthalmology subspecialty – glaucoma (September 24), neuro-orbital ophthalmology and oculoplastics (September 25), corneal eye diseases (September 26), refractive surgery (December 21), pediatric ophthalmology (December 22) and retinal diseases (December 23). We are honored to have as Conference speakers, lecturers from Armenia, as well as from the best universities and hospitals of the USA, the United Kingdom, and other countries. At the closure of each conference day, there will be run a sub-specialty discussion session facilitated both by local and guest speakers.

The second part of the Conference will be on neonatology and pediatrics and will be aired in the beginning of 2021.
